Excellent stay in our campervan this weekend. It is a simple and beautiful sight with lovely views and basic facilities. Perfect for us! We will be back

This is a beautiful site, with lovely views. The owners are very friendly. The only downside was that the site sloped very badly and chocks were definitely needed. With kites flying overhead and racehorses being trained on the gallops nearby, it was a lovely stay.

Liz and John are lovely and such a beautiful hidden campground with wonderful views. Really enjoyed my stay here and a short walk 1.5 hours to the ridgeway.

Found this site online and looked good from photos and reviews, called up & spoke to Liz and booked it who seemed lovely on the phone. Arrived today, was advised where to pitch by her husband, put our awning up and carried on with our day. Liz later then drove up to us hours later, raising her voice telling us we had pitched in the wrong place, we told her we went where her husband told us to, but she was having none of that. Even if we had pitched in the wrong place, there had been plenty of time to come and correct us as we had seen him walking around enough. She said we didn't tell her about the awning when we booked (which we did) and then said we would have to pay extra for my daughters tent, which was fine but she wouldn't tell us how much, just kept telling us to check the C&CC website. Then eventually said it would be £13 extra for a pup tent! She was so aggressive, raising her voice at both me & my husband, in front of our children while they were nicely playing with some other kids they had met. Then just sped off. Was looking forward to our stay there for the week but after our run in with her we packed and left immediately, sour start to our holiday! The site itself was lovely, great views, facilities - although very basic (didn't even get a chance to test them!). Field was quite sloped, only really a couple of pitches that were suitable in my opinion.
