What visitors say
We rented an air B&B static caravan for a weeks break, as we have a dog to host (difficult to find accommodation that accepts animals at a value price). The caravan was a little dated, but everything was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated that this belonged to a family that cherished the facilities. Parking, small secure deck, and access to Castle View in the evening is controlled with a remote controlled barrier. Don't follow google. The directions send you along a farm track that is cut-off from the park. Use the main Capenwray Hall Road for access. The park sprawls across the hillside, with private accommodation. A short wooded walk is provided, as well as a fallow field to walk the dog through and a small children's play area in a gated field at the top of the site. There is a park shop which we didn't use. The nearest shops are in Carnforth. Why stay here - access to the Lake District in 50 minutes, as well as North Lancashire, Morecambe and Lancaster, or West to Ingleton and Skipton. Local attractions are the canal, Packhorse bridge, and Capenwray Viaduct. Some good local pubs, and fresh air.

My mother bought a caravan on this site and was told when she bought it that she would be able to sell it on but when she wanted to sell it on she was told she couldn't because the caravan was a 2005 model and too old.however the park owner was selling older caravans for a lot more than he offered us for part exchange on one of his.he offered my mum just £2000 for the pitch against the cost of one of his caravans.its a rip off and a con.beware .

Some of the pitches are well located but many are crammed in! No TV aerial, apparently destroyed in storm but owner couldn't be bothered fixing it, fairly amazing considering the site fees.
