About Horns Dam Fishing Lakes And Caravan Park

Horns Dam sits among Lancashire's rural landscape, built around its own fishing lake. The setting is peaceful farmland, away from town bustle but still accessible from Preston and the surrounding area. The park caters to caravanners, with pitches beside or near the water.

Shower facilities are available on site. The fishing lake is the main draw—a working fishing spot that gives the place its character and sets it apart from standard caravan parks. It suits anglers and anyone after a quiet countryside base.

I fished the Specimen lake last night, and smashed my PB by catching a beautiful monster carp weighing 34lb 6oz. It was huge, and broke my 42" net. The fish is known as 'The Destroyer' and it's name is self explanatory it broke my 42" landing net, which i didn't mind at all.. . I took my lad on his first fishing trip, and he's now obsessed. We had 36 fish in total, 24 being Carp, and 12 Bream. (Method fishing, in the margins, on Boilies) My lad caught the bream mainly on Robin Red's. The owners are exceptional, and the Bailiffs are extremely welcoming, and very helpful. In 33 years of fishing Horns Dam specimen lake has been the best night's fishing i've ever had. The views, and wildlife are also stunning too. From around 8pm our rods didn't stop going throughout the night. The highlight being us catching 'The Destroyer'. I would upload the pictures if it would allow me to. I genuinely can't recommend Horns Dam enough, and me and my son are extremely happy, and excited to visit again very soon. Kirk Bullen.

We really love this place and treat it like a retreat from everything out there that is stressful. It's really well kept , toilet and shower are excellent. Fishing was also brilliant, with rare views of nature such as the hare and oyster catchers nesting with their chicks - we will definitely be back again soon 🙂

The woman that owns this place needs to find some respect for people if she don't like your face she will target you. Her husband is a nice guy though. Good carp lake otherwise i like fishing this place but that lady can ruin your days fishing believe me. I recommend the carp lake and the donught is good too but she ruins it so just hope your face fits otherwise your doomed 😮
