Longfold Farm Certificated Site

This review refers to the camping field and not any other ventures that the farm does. We stayed here for one night in late May, camping in a tent. If you like basic, then this is the campsite for you. Personally, I prefer a site with a few more frills. My main issue was the toilet ‘cabin’. This consists of one toilet, sink and a shower all in the one space. It’s not very clean although the water is hot, which is something. That said, when I braved the shower, I couldn’t see the controls properly as the light is so dim. Consequently, the water was either scalding or freezing. Husband was able to see better and his shower was ok. The other negative thing about this site is the fact that there is no hot water in the area for washing up. I ended up using the sink in the toilet room as there was hot water there. Surely hot water for washing up is a basic function of a campsite? It was quiet when we were there, but it must be toilet Armageddon when the site is busy, if it ever gets busy. Also, this singular toilet and shower is used by people staying in caravans, who look like they live there. On the plus side, the grassy area for pitching is flat and the grass is short. The other strange thing is that this site is affiliated to the C & CC, which makes me wonder, don’t they ever check on sites that are under their ‘umbrella’? If not, then what’s the point? It would put me off ever visiting one of their ‘affiliated’ small sites ever again. So yes, one night won’t kill you, but otherwise avoid.

Lovely people and the sunflower field is a great place to spend some time ... thousands of beautiful sunflowers, refreshments, and free parking. Closed now for this year. Hopefully, we'll get to go again next year 🌻

🌿 Perfect peaceful getaway – and great for families! We had a fantastic stay at Longfold Farm Campsite this week as a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) camping in a tent. The site is incredibly quiet and relaxing, ideal if you’re looking to unwind in nature without any fuss or noise. The facilities are excellent — toilets and showers were clean, warm, and well-maintained, which really made a difference. We also had access to electricity included in the pitch price, which was a big plus. There’s space for campervans too, so it’s a great spot no matter how you camp. One of the standout things for us was how welcoming and helpful the farmer was — he kindly allowed us to have a campfire and even supplied us with extra firewood when we ran out. That kind of hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. And don’t miss the homemade ice cream — it’s made right there on the farm and it’s absolutely delicious! Between the peaceful setting, family-friendly vibe, and great facilities, this is definitely a campsite we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxed countryside escape with kids or friends.

Lovely day out. Beautiful sunflowers and great little area for a coffee and ice cream after going through the field .
