Scout Cragg Holiday Park

Looked at caravans on here. The lady was fantastic. Very helpful and we would have bought one but the deck was just not big enough. Lovely place and definitely worth looking at.

We have recently purchased a static caravan on Scout Cragg caravan park. Have to say what a beautiful park it is, so peaceful and the people are so friendly. We are very happy with our caravan, Tina contacted us when it became available from a previous owner. We had a couple of tiny issues with it at first regarding leaks but Tina and Paula got them sorted straight away. Couldnt have asked for more. The two of them are an asset to the park. Shame that 1 star is minimum for google review.. the way I feel about this caravan park certainly deserves minus stars.. we visited the site to take a look around yesterday as we knew people who were selling their caravan as they had been offered a not very good price via the site itself. We was very honest when we visited the office and told them why we was here.. the person we spoke to who I believe was called Tina said "Any sale must be done through the office" which we replied Of course that's fine but we are firstly taking a look at the site to see if we liked the feel of it and if we thought we could be happy there. We discussed with her that proof of council tax of our home address along with utility bills would need to be provided to which we agreed and told her that we would be returning again today to meet with the owner to take a look inside the caravan itself. We immediately fell in love with the caravan and could see us making this our Happy Holiday home and agreed that yes it was for us, therefore my husband went with the owner to the office to agree the sale and forwarding of utility bills as requested and arranged a sign over date and was given the site bank details to transfer the agreed price.. Happy Days. OR SO WE THOUGHT.. !!! WHAM.. Less than 15 mins later, she came to see the owner to say that the owner of the caravan site was needing to speak urgently.. Next thing was we were told that we were not allowed to buy the caravan as the owner was Not allowed to sell. We still CANNOT UNDERSTAND that one minute we were having it and the next minute NOT.. Why was this not explained to either ourselves or the owner.. Someone at the site obviously does not know what they are saying or doing. For this reason we would definitely NOT recommend this site. It seems that the reason this happened was so they can make a massive profit when they put it back up For Sale... 🤔🤔😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
