We happened upon Ford Farm while we were visiting Ireland from the US. We were met with great hospitality upon arrival. John took the time to share stories with us and show us around his farm. Great experience & clean facilities, with true country vibes. Definitely would stay again if opportunity provides.

I drove up to the farm today to see how much it would be to stay for one night in the future. I drove up for 30 seconds, did a U turn and was met by the owner. He said people normally stop at the house before driving onto the campsite. I apologised sincerely and asked how much it would be to stay for a night in the future. He harangued the point and said we don't like people doing that. I wasn't going to apologise for a second time. He then said that's not good. And I said okay we won't be back then and he said okay don't come back. We didn't see any signage to say that you had to stop at the house. He was very hostile, we made a genuine mistake and apologised immediately, but he wouldn't let it go. May be a great place but first impressions were terrible and unwelcoming. Not how you should run a business...

Loved it here, dark working farm with a sitting room and a museum ( not many have this) a lot of energy has gone into this by John a great host. There is showers at £2.50 ( odd) but the meter machine is knackered so lay John direct. Very handy if getting off the ferry late

Ideal place for when you have been travelling all day and it is only a 20 minute drive away from the ferry ⛴. Cheap and cheerful and we got a warm Irish welcome when we arrived. First to arrive gets the best pick of the pitches as they are only small and the gateways aren't very wide, but plenty for our caravan. It's also only a 10 minute walk to the train station 🚉 which we used to visit Belfast.
