About Fairboroughs Farm Caravan Site
Set on a working sheep farm with 13th-century roots, Fairboroughs Farm Caravan Site has been welcoming caravanners to the edge of the Peak District since 1967. The Lowe family's warm hospitality keeps visitors returning year after year, and they're always happy to share tips on local country pubs and walking routes threading through the 150 acres of surrounding hills and woodland.
Keep your eyes peeled for red deer on your rambles – several guests have been lucky enough to spot these magnificent creatures. Back at the farm, there are hundreds of ewes and lambs to admire, plus free-range chickens, ducks, ponies and dogs. Well-behaved canine companions are welcome to join you.
The tiny site offers fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitches in the Old Orchard, with decent TV reception and a security gate. Rudyard Lake sits 10 minutes' drive away for sailing, fishing and canoeing, while Leek itself is equally close for supplies and exploring the Staffordshire Moorlands.

A very rural spot for a quiet stay away from home. Walk to nearest pub approx. 30-40 minutes. We went in our motorhome. Only 6 spaces, each with EHU and water. A basic toilet block- unisex with one toilet and one shower.

Glorious views from a wonderful pitch on the old orchard. Lovely site overall, with welcoming owners who provided local info and walk suggestions. Not just quiet, but a peaceful site where the owners are sympathetic to the local wildlife and natural environment. We had owls and bats to watch/listen to at night, and a butterflies and birdsong during the day. We walked to Rudyard lake, although didn’t manage to find a route without a short stretch of road walking. A fantastic escape, would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our visit to The Pamper Van. From the start, the contact and service from Diane was welcoming and prompt - always the other end of the phone. Super impressed with the van, it’s so much more than a van! Slept really well both nights, cosy Christmas decor and hot tub located on the doorstep. Pubs and local walks close drive by, exactly the weekend we needed to switch off. Thank you so much Diane - we will definitely be returning ☺️
