Caravan site near Melton Mowbray with spacious pitches, fishing lakes and an on-site bar with live entertainment.
About Ryecroft Farm Caravan Site
Ryecroft Farm is a caravan site in Eye Kettleby, built around a working fishery. The pitches are generously spaced and well-kept, with showers featuring underfloor heating. The site has its own bar and restaurant serving food and drinks, with live entertainment on some evenings, plus free WiFi throughout.
The main draw here is the fishing – there are private lakes on the grounds, just a few minutes' walk from the pitches. Staff are noted as friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful rather than buzzy, making it suit those after a calm base rather than a sociable hub. The on-site facilities mean you do not need to leave the site for food or a drink in the evening.

What visitors say
We come here regularly and have already booked for next year. We have stayed in the lodges, and on the caravan park. We always stay north side. Cannot fault anything about this place. Everything is outstanding. My only criticism is that you could sort out the Wi-Fi out. It’s dreadful. When we stayed in the lodges it was fine. But every time we stay in the caravan it’s awful. We paid and still couldn’t use it. Kept being hit and miss. We explained in reception and had a refund. So had no Wi-Fi all week. In this day and age. I think when you stay here it should be free on the caravan park regardless as it is in lodges. We have paid to stay so should be included. But we paid and it still wasn’t any good. Any chance you can get better Wi-Fi please. That is my only fault. Everything else. Staff ,sites, cleanliness ,food. -all fabulous. Wi-Fi-not so good.

On arrival I was given a map showing the location of the pitch in a booklet detailing a few other essential details. This is an adults only Tranquil site with fantastic walks around the site. Pitches are reasonably level, although we noticed some required leveling ramps. Facilities are top quality, and the clubhouse is great for a relaxing drink. Location is good for Melton Mowbray, we cycled to the town and visited the famous pie shop!

Just back from our third stay at EKL, had another great visit, the local area is lovely, the weather certainly helped with a week long heatwave, showers are brilliant, the site itself is immaculate. The only real downside, and this seems to be a theme on other tranquil parks we have stayed on, is the amount of yappy noisy dogs that seem to appeared since COVID, as previous dog owners we understand that dogs can make noise but the sheer number of them on site and the fact that some people seem to have no regard for anyone else around them and happily sit by there Vans whilst their dog/dogs are barking every few seconds at anything and nothing does spoil things at times, also allowing their dogs to foul the grass on their pitch when the next people on that pitch might want to sit on that grass doesn't bear thinking about.

Stayed in our tourer on standard hard standing pitch. Beautiful, well maintained site. Facilities were clean and tidy. Club house was great with tvs, pool table, dart board, inside was very impressive. Outside area was all clean and tidy. Chippy van great idea on a Saturday evening saves cooking. All the staff were fantastic, looking forward to coming back again.
