The Lewes Treasure Hunt Treasure Trail

Stunning campsite surrounded by nature and in a truly peaceful location. The pitches are spread apart so our boys had room to play football alongside the tent without bothering any of our neighbours. The birdsong in the morning was incredible and we only bumped into our neighbours in the communal washing up area where everyone was very happy to smile a bleary half awake morning greeting. We went during a heatwave and the cold shower was a blessing. Washing up facilities are spotless, stand pipe in the meadow for drinking water was clean and well maintained and we are already dreaming of booking our return trip.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Tim who remained helpful, friendly and charming throughout our stay. The whole camp is thoughtfully laid out and the environment around it is delightful. The showers and toilets were spotlessly clean and hot and cold water were plentiful. It would have been quite nice to have either a wash basin in the showers or cubicle around the basins in the wash house so a full shower was not necessary every time. Lighting was good but after 10pm there was no light over the washing up area, which was a bit of a challenge. Other than those 2 points, everything was perfect and our experience was too. Thankyou so much, we will be back. We stayed in Walnut pitch.

We took our daughter here for her first time camping and we couldn’t be happier that we did. The Secret Campsite is beautifully and spaciously laid out, giving each pitch its own space and a lovely sense of calm among the surrounding nature. The facilities are immaculate, and we loved being able to cook our meals on an open fire. Chloe who runs it couldn’t be more fun and accommodating, she really added to this lovely stay. We couldn’t recommend this place more and we have already booked our next stay. Thanks so much guys! We can’t wait to be back!

Wonderful campsite. It has been done so well, really natural feel and enough space between sites that it feels private. The toilets and showers were great, always well maintained and well thought out in the way they were built. Staf onsite were friendly and knowledgeable - even lent us some tent pegs as we didn't quite have enough for our tent! We would definitely come again
