Butlins Skegness, a lodging resort near Ingoldmells with pools, entertainment and dining for families.
About Butlins Skegness
Skegness and the surrounding Lincolnshire coast draw families after seaside breaks, and Butlins sits right in the thick of it on Roman Bank in Ingoldmells. This is a resort rather than a campsite in the traditional sense, offering lodging across the grounds alongside extensive facilities designed to keep all ages occupied throughout a stay.
The main draws are the pool complex and buffet dining, which receive consistent praise, alongside a full roster of daytime and evening entertainment. Staff feedback suggests they engage well with guests and resolve problems readily. Accommodation quality is mixed—some rooms and lodges are well maintained, while others have been flagged as showing signs of age and neglect. Showers are available across the resort. Given the emphasis on activities and socialising, the site works best for families wanting an all-in package rather than those after quiet self-catering.

What visitors say
Holiday child friendly, but not much for teens or adults. Entertainment for children is good, not really for teens or adults unless there are specific interests. Pool is pretty good with lots of water features and slides but only open til half 4. Beach is okay but only open til 5. Food is okay but sometimes bland. If you want food go when it first opens as the food can sit there and go hard. We also all got norovirus on this holiday, and so did many other holiday-goers. After some research, this has happened consecutively over the years to many people. This took about 3 days out of our holiday from everyone being sick.. and worse! Its close to skegness pier with some nice shops out front, cheap drinks and cheap donuts!

Update- thought we'd give it another go and we shouldn't have bothered. 4th visit and the room was disgusting, old/ run down and we had an ant infestation in our room. Couldn't speak to anyone on site so had to call customer services who said they would spray down the room and that we couldn't re enter for 2 hours. Explained we were not happy with this due to having a baby and wouldn't fix the problem or the mould in the bathroom. Relocated after full day of debating with them to an apparent upgrade. This room was also very dirty with a big hole in the patio doors. We left and booked elsewhere and cancelled the holiday and future holidays there. Terrible customer service from above, we had video evidence and they just didn't care about the situation and said they'd followed protocol, but the rooms were filthy. Rooms - this was our third visit and the first time the room was great, the second time it was quite dirty with woodlice and general dirt, this time we upgraded to an apartment and again arrived to a dirty room including a small patch of mould on the wall, a messy sofa, a big stain on the carpet and rubbish including hair clips, a berry bramble and packaging on the floor. We raised this with the team and they did move us to an alternative accomodation which was lovely and clean and much better quality. Service - The red coats were fabulous very interactive and friendly. Shop staff were hit and miss with the new chopsticks staff being terrible. Just a total lack of professionalism very messy and just messing around. Also staff manager in the chicken restaurant was just coming across very intense and serious/stressy. Activities and price was great. Lots to do on site for different ages, great photo opportunities etc. Only downfall would say the shows aimed at young children i.e. snow white etc were way too loud for young children so we had to leave which was disappointing. Other than that lots to do and facilities on site. Lots to do location wise with the market, aquarium and other things in skegness.

Went for an Ibiza weekender. Great line up and music all weekend. The accommodation was good, better than Minehead. Disappointing that the access to the beach was closed off from inside the park but you can take a walk round.

We were in the new Maple Walk lodge section and can only say we were absolutely delighted with the standard of accommodation. Only niggle was we were supposed to have towels included and whilst we got a bath towel each there were no hand towels. When I asked for some we were given a couple of bath mats 🤦🏼♀️
