About Little Valley Wales

Tucked into the Ceredigion hills near Llandysul, Little Valley Wales is a tiny, off-grid gem that's earned a devoted following among naturists and wild-camping enthusiasts. With space for just a handful of pitches, this remote woodland site feels genuinely secluded—expect composting loos, open-air showers, and campfires under the stars rather than electric hook-ups or a bustling toilet block. The forest setting is genuinely peaceful, with wildlife aplenty and walkers' routes threading through spectacular scenery.

It's not for everyone: no dogs are allowed, facilities are decidedly basic, and you'll need to head to nearby villages for supplies. But if you're after a back-to-nature escape with a clothing-optional vibe and space to breathe, this is one of the most authentic wild-camping experiences in West Wales—just minutes from canoeing, mountain biking, and the coast.

What visitors say

My partner, and myself spent 6 days in the “Idyllic Little Cottage” from 12/09 to 18/09. Everything was to a high specification and all details had been considered to make sure our stay was memorable. It’s an amazing place, and I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. We will definitely be back. Finally I would like to add that both Sven and Sophia are 2 really friendly, welcoming and helpful people. They made us feel like friends and not just visitors. We send a best wishes for a successful future. Les and Corrine.

What a wonderful stay we had in the cottage. It met our every expectation and more. The cottage was extremely comfortable, clean and was well equipped to a very high standard. The location is idyllic and Sophia and Sven along with their family made us very welcome. The welcoming gifts were a real treat and very thoughtful. We look forward to returning and will be more than happy to recommend to friends and family. Thank you Rowena and Gareth

Well what can I say! Little Valley Wales is a perfect cottage in a perfect location. If you want to get away from it all staying in this cottage is a must. Sven, Sophia and their family are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcome. It is beautifully designed and spotlessly clean with everything you need. It is also ideal for those with dogs having walks on your doorstep. There is an abundance of birds and other wide life some of which can be observed from the cottage. The Ceredigion coastal path is only a short drive away and I would recommend visiting New Quay for the sunset. It is also a great location to watch the dolphins. We will definitely visit again and will recommend to friends, family and work colleagues.

On our way home from a gorgeous week in Little Valley, feeling totally refreshed and ready to return to work and life. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need for even a longer stay. Tons to do within striking distance and super dog friendly. Sven and Sophia are fantastic hosts who evidently take great pride in providing a real haven from the demands of normality, even down to the instructions not to overly clean before leaving!
