What visitors say
Absolutely a hidden gem! The tent was in the middle of a field, surrounded by pine trees. A little pond and a stream made the accomodation a fairy place. Me, my husband and our 2 children spent the summer solistice at Matilda's field and we absolutely enjoyed the sound of nature, fresh air, amazing views, stars in the night. The tent is very welcoming, we had everything we needed for our time there. All clean and cozy. We spent our evenings on the veranda and enjoyed the fire pit for our barbeque. My kids were having an amazing time, they slept so well and loved exploring the forest nearby. Our guest, Mike is very welcoming and with a big heart and smile, ready to help with everything. Deffinitely we will come back!

Was here last year with some friends and we had a very good time here! It was a bit of a trek to get here, but it was well worth it. Mike was very accommodating and helpful to us and helped us with whatever we needed! We got the biggest tent for 4 of us and there was a good amount of room. The night there were beautiful with an amazing view of the night sky and the area was generally very peaceful and quiet. It was very off-grid, but you are hooked up with a solar panel and a 12V battery for your small electronics and Mike re-fills the cooler every day with an ice block so storing food was no problem and we could grill when we wanted. There was warm water and a shower so you get all the benefits of a hotel, but the experience of a tent trip. Was an absolute joy to stay here and reccomend it to anyone interested in a quiet getaway.

My friends and I rented both tents for what we feel was incredible value. The location was hidden away with some great nearby walks and the view was great to wake up to. The tents were large and both very well furnished. The owner was very friendly and gave us some excellent advice about the nearby area and places we went to visit. Overall a fantastic experience

What can I say about Matildas field that hasn’t been said by the other lucky visitors who have shared their thoughts on here. From the moment we arrived Mike was the perfect host, the accommodation was beautiful and even with one of the heaviest rain showers I’ve seen this year was perfectly dry. Couple the cosy warm tents with the gorgeous surroundings a glass of wine and the peace and quiet ( after the grand children had gone to bed) and it is the perfect getaway. Mike I have no doubt we will be back again soon. Thanks Geraint and family.
