About Adare Hotel

Adare Hotel occupies a townhouse on Sussex Gardens, one of the tall terraced buildings typical of this part of London, converted into a small 20-room hotel with a settled, traditional character. The scale is modest rather than grand, which suits guests wanting a personal base rather than a sprawling complex.

Rooms come with air conditioning and free WiFi, and the hotel offers breakfast, a restaurant and a bar on site, along with concierge services and luggage storage for those moving on to onward travel. There's a garden for quieter moments, and the property can also host weddings. Free on-site parking is available, a genuine advantage in this part of London, and airport transfers can be arranged.

London Paddington is close by, making onward travel straightforward, and the surrounding streets offer further pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach. It's a practical, well-placed choice for exploring the city without needing to rely on taxis or the Tube from the outset.

We went for afternoon tea and it was utterly magical. The food, in 3 courses of deliciousness, was varied, the highest quality, filling and served with consummate professionalism. The entire experience, including the environs, the people, the gardens, the food and drink and everything else, was an utter treat. For me as a vegan it was a pleasant shock where they had a complete vegan menu, complete with vegan scones, treats, butter cream and everything else. Heavenly.

Service at Adare Manor is impeccable! Valet upon arrival inc our bags dropped to our room, we were upgraded too which was lovely! The complimentary mini bar and little cake left in the room were nice extras. The ipad that controlled the lighting, temperature and blinds didn’t work for the curtains in our room in particular. The room was very clean and modern mixed with an old time feel, I do feel like more coloured textiles would add a warmer feel. We had dinner in the Carriage House which was delicious, you are dropped over from the main building to dinner. Cocktails at the bar there were nicer than the tack room which had a smaller selection. The mattress was very comfortable (pillows weren’t firm enough which left me with a crick in my neck) Turn down service was the perfect touch, our snacks were replaced, ice left in the room and water plus slippers by the bedside table! Breakfast was fine, very busy room and I found the continental area to be small with not a huge selection. We got the full Irish and were given little juice shots and a choice of coffee. The pudding however was dry and I wasn’t a fan of the hash browns. Overall I would recommend Adare Manor but we have stayed at better hotels in Ireland with more to offer like forest walks, animals, hot tubs etc, we felt although all staff were friendly there we’re too many at every corner of the hotel leaving very little privacy or room to look around at our own leisure. When leaving we had to wait 15 minutes for our car to be brought to the door.

We recently stayed at Adare Manor and honestly, everything was incredible from start to finish. We arrived and had lunch in the library, which was such a lovely way to begin the stay — really relaxed but still special. The grounds are absolutely stunning and so well kept, you could happily just wander around for hours. The spa and thermal suite were a real highlight for us. So peaceful and luxurious, it felt like a proper escape from everything. Dinner in The Oak Room was just amazing. Every course was delicious and beautifully done — one of the best meals we’ve ever had. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful without ever being over the top. It just felt effortless. Our room was beautiful too, with gorgeous views and everything you could need. It was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip… but we’re already talking about when we can go back.

Adare Manor is not your typical hotel, it’s a true estate, a breathtaking castle where aristocracy once lived, now transformed into one of the most luxurious resorts in the world. My husband and I were completely in awe from the moment we arrived. The property beautifully blends its rich history with the most impressive modern technology, creating an experience that feels both timeless and effortlessly refined. Every detail is exceptional. The rooms are immaculate, elegant, and simply spectacular. The restaurants on the property are outstanding, offering a level of dining that matches the grandeur of the estate. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making your stay unforgettable. The golf course is absolutely world class. truly a dream for any golfer. Every corner of Adare Manor reflects impeccable taste, beauty, and sophistication. This is class at its highest level without question, one of the finest resorts in Ireland. The boutiques on-site are wonderful, and the chocolate shop is a must don’t miss it. We created some of our most joyful and memorable moments here, and we are already looking forward to returning. Highly, highly recommended.
