What diners say
Visited Pavilion Grill at Kew on a very busy Sunday, and I was genuinely impressed by the excellent hospitality and service. Despite the crowds and the hustle and bustle around Kew Gardens, the restaurant maintained a calm, welcoming atmosphere. A special mention to Veronica, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and efficient. She served us with a warm smile and helped us choose a delicious meal for lunch. Her friendly and professional service made our visit even more enjoyable. We had a peaceful and relaxing lunch, with plenty of seating available and easy access to drinking water. The food was excellent, and the overall experience was warm and welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kew Gardens!

I had come across quite a few negative reviews of Pavilion Bar and Grill before visiting, but curiosity (and hunger!) got the better of me—and I’m glad it did. Interestingly, I opted for a kids’ meal (yes, as an adult!): fish and chips paired with a Cawston Apple & Mango juice. My choice was mainly driven by my current diet—the portion was around 381 kcal for the fish and chips, and the juice added just 27 kcal. At £8.50 and £2.95 respectively, it felt like a reasonable and well-balanced option, especially with the alcohol-free batter. I’m not a particularly picky eater, and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. I chose to sit indoors as it was quite windy outside, and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. Another highlight was the condiments corner, which offered a nice variety of sauces to choose from. The service also stood out—the cashier was lovely, and the waiter even complimented my outfit, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, my experience was genuinely pleasant. While I understand that everyone’s expectations may differ, I believe this visit was well worth it. As adults, we make our own choices, and from my perspective, this is a business doing its best. I’ve certainly encountered far more disappointing “tourist trap” spots elsewhere in England. This is not a paid advertisement—just my honest personal experience. For me, this visit deserves 5 stars, and I would happily recommend it.

£20 for a chicken burger and fries, The burger had a slimy, gristly chicken thigh instead of literally anything else you’d expect in a chicken burger. Absolutely horrid. Fried were ok but a little cold

It’s a very nice place for a cup of coffee. We sat inside, enjoy the view of nature through glass. The seating arrangement is spacious, feeling very relaxed after long walking in the Kew. Cappuccino is creamy and smooth. We ordered French fries but have to wait until 12:00, very generous size and fresh. Will definitely come again.
