About Hole Carr Barn Campsite

When dramatic Staffordshire countryside calls, Hole Carr Barn Campsite answers with a peaceful pop-up setting surrounded by the valleys and dales of the Peak District National Park. The neatly mown camping field slopes in places, but with no fixed pitches you're free to pick your level spot and settle in. Simple facilities include portable toilets, running water and waste disposal, though as an off-grid site there are no showers or electricity—pack accordingly.

Walking and cycling trails fan out directly from the pitches, while the landmark Roaches gritstone rock formations lie just 10 minutes' drive away. Dogs are welcome year-round (on leads, please, due to neighbouring livestock), and campfires add to the remote atmosphere. Leek and Buxton are both within 15 minutes by car when you fancy a pub lunch or market mooch. The hilly terrain means caravans aren't suitable, but for tents seeking spectacular scenery without the frills, this ticks the box.

We had an amazing stay at The Hollies! The campsite is peaceful, clean, and very well maintained, with a great atmosphere for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature. We stayed here with our Belgian Malinois, and it was a fantastic place for him too. There was plenty of space to explore, and we all felt very welcome. The facilities were clean, and the location is perfect for exploring the beautiful countryside around Leek. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommended! 🏕️🐕

Excellent camping trip. Second time i have visited the hollies and i would for sure go again. Ideal location for all hiking abilities. Get yourself on the top field for a beautiful surrounding landscape. Highly recommended . P.S the coach and horses up the road is top notch.

Stayed for three nights and had a lovely time. I was worried about the showers - but they were powerful and warm and had loads of room to get dressed after. Staff were really friendly.
