Spent 1 night here - it seems lovely, very tailored to families and a lot of communal space, playing area and activities. The instructions on arrival were a little confusing. We messaged the hosts a few times and had no response - we'd also asked for a barbecue and it never arrived. The cabin itself was very quaint, definitely unique and pretty. The amenities were great, the shower was modern and we had all the kitchen utensils we needed. The hot tub was lovely - they even provided robes to use in there. Bushes between huts also meant it felt private enough. I will say, if you are scared of spiders, do not go! There were many many spiders in the hut, and its very webby on the ceiling. It was a lovely place - not really designed for couples but a lovely family friendly spot.

Good location near village store (nearest shop otherwise is a few miles away). Owners are really nice people, and the village pub in Longtown does good local food and local gins and ciders/beer’s. The shower block is always clean, and there is a shared communal area with snack machines, a kitchen and comfortable sitting area. Within this large area is a full-size pool table and foosball game. Access to hiking trails is also easy, leading onto the black mountains. The site is near dark sky quality on clear moonless nights. The picture attached of the Orion Nebula was taken from the site itself.

I stayed just one night in one of the Shepherd’s Huts with my four children, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hut was beautifully designed, cozy yet surprisingly spacious, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It gave us all the fun of glamping but with the comfort of a proper bed and thoughtful touches throughout. The hot tub was definitely the highlight. After a busy day, the kids absolutely loved it. The communal area was another bonus, beautifully set up with games to keep the children entertained. Even though my stay was short, everything was so well thought out. From the comfy beds and fresh linens to the firepit and little homely details, it was clear the hosts had gone the extra mile to make it stress-free and enjoyable. I only stayed for one night, but it was such a memorable experience that we all wished we had booked longer. If you’re looking for a family-friendly getaway that combines the magic of the outdoors with the comfort of a Shepherd’s Hut (plus a hot tub and a fantastic communal space with games), this is the perfect spot. We’ll definitely be back!

I can’t rate this place enough. Me and my partner went for a night away and we couldn’t have been more pleased with it. Pods were super clean both Internally and externally and our hot tub was also immaculate. We were surprised by how fantastic the communal facilities were. I unfortunately left my Apple Watch there and they were super helpful in locating it and posting it to me within days which I am so grateful for. All in all a brilliant place and service that went over an above. Will 100% return.
