What a wonderful place North Star Glamping pods are, so spacious and clean with everything you could need. The gardens are beautiful and they have supplied everything to make your stay a wonderful experience both inside and out. The owner was extremely friendly, polite and helpful and the whole experience was fantastic. Really enjoyed our time here.

North Star Glamping has two luxury pods well situated just off the NC500 in Lybster. Usefully, they offer one night stays which is perfect if you’re doing the route. We had a very comfortable one night stay in the Whaligoe pod. It is really well designed, with a luxury shower room and loo, and a very useable kitchen space. The double bed was spacious, and the clever use of mirrors and wall spaces made the pod seem quite big. It was a couple of miles yomp to Lybster Harbour which we did in the evening. We were blessed with fantastic weather and saw a magnificent sunset, and the owner says she has seen the northern lights on occasion. The owner herself was lovely and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would thoroughly recommend these pods if you’re doing the NC500. It wasn’t the cheapest but it was one of the best we’ve come across so far (and we’ve done a few). The only thing I would say is - be aware there is no WiFi - you have to use your phone’s data if you need to get online. Apart from this, 10 out of 10 from us.

Maggie greeted us shortly after we arrived at the pod, and was super friendly. The pod is a fantastic place to stay - great decor, brilliantly appointed, fantastic vibe, just what we were looking for... just a shame it was only for 1 night, as would have loved to have stayed longer. The firepit out front really adds character and the offer of marshmallows was such a sweet touch. Honestly would recommend this to anyone - great location, fab service and a really ideal getaway for a couple.

Wonderful experience: definitely better than an hotel! Our 2 children wanted to stay forever: they loved it. The pod is cosy, warm and with all you need for a family of 4: TV, kitchen, bathroom with shower hot water and heating. The host were fantastic. The location is beautiful: wild and quiet at the same time.
