What visitors say
Worth a visit.. make sure no under 4's on your trip.. we had 3 ! They all wailed all the way round.. grrr However still quite good experience. Sounds system needs ramping up by loads as really hard to hear. Some good effects with the moving dragon and waterfall. However could be loads better with the static sets of mannequins. Nice shops to look around too.

Visited here about 30 years ago and this year took my own children. The magic is still there and it jas been kept up todate. The staff were very helpful. To be fair we visited on the hottest day of the year so was quite refreshing

This was a great activity. You go in an old mine wich has been transformed to a fairytale ride with tales about King Arthur. Part by boat and part walking along chapters of the story. We went in with our daughter. We all loved it. Tip: do not take any toddlers or smaller in because they will probably find it scary (wich was the case in our group, a father with a small boy). It is recommended to make a reservation for this activity because it works in time slots. The other shops on the terrain were very nice as well. Definitely worth a stop to take a look.

Decided to stop here for something to do whilst touring mid/north wales in my campervan. I booked my ticket online whilst I was in the carpark and saved a couple of quid, so that’s worth doing especially if you’re buying multiple tickets for a family. Once the group for the allocated time slot was gathered, we made our way to a little building where a pre-tour video is played. Once that has finished, you grab your hard hat and make your way down to the entrance of the cave. Let me tell you, it is COLD. If you think you’ll be fine without a jacket or hoody, you are wrong. I attended during HOT weather and it was absolutely freezing down there. Please make sure you have a jumper because being cold down there will make you miserable and you won’t enjoy it. Similarly, wear closed toe, sturdy shoes. Don’t wear crocs or sandals, it can be slippery and you want to be confident walking down there. If you have small kids, you will need to carry them because it’s dark and you’re walking at a proper pace, so there’s no real dilly dallying. The adventure itself starts with a little boat trip, which was cute. There is a voiceover storytelling, but you can forget about hearing it if there’s kids about 😂 It’s really dark down there and very low in places. Bear that in mind if you’re not a fan of enclosed spaces. You walk around with a guide who takes you different places where stories are told via voiceover and animatronic mannequins, actually they don’t move, so not sure animatronic is the correct word. Nevertheless, it’s pretty good. It’s not Disney level production, but it’s certainly worth the experience. Gift shop was really, really good and had all sorts of lore related items and books. Outside of that experience, the site also houses some craft shops, cafe, play park for the kids and I think there’s a maze and an old mine you can go in, but I didn’t go to either, so can comment. I did do some pottery painting, which I really, really enjoyed! Overall, a great way to spend a good few hours.
