Disgusting food. One of the worst culinary experiences of my life after ordering the vegan katsu. I do not blame the cooks at the hotel, I blame the nonchalant attitude of Greene King (Greene King is the UK’s leading pub retailer and brewer, operating over 2,600 pubs, restaurants). How on earth can they impose a menu countrywide which supports such inept combinations as - boil in the bag rice, topped with a sprinkle of french fries, topped with four grotesque deep fried tasteless and nutritionally dead rissoles, a dollop of instant chip shop curry sauce and then a final flourish of “fresh “ chili? Awful, disgusting and dead food.

Excellent location right in the centre of Marlborough. Spacious, clean room. Good menu and breakfast. Staff friendly and welcoming. Private Car park to rear a bonus.

I stayed with my sister and the hotel rooms need some serious updating!! I understand it's an old building but come on! It's just grotty and falling apart. The staff were amazing though! The restaurant had quick and skilled service with friendly staff who certainly knew how to do their jobs well. However, breakfast was the complete opposite with staff who had no clue what they were doing and a grumpy guy sitting at the front reception who didn't seem to want to help the rest of the staff, no smile, no emotion when we spoke on check out. Seemed to not want to be at work that morning.

Parking is expensive in Marlborough and the free for guests car park is a great asset. The room was fantastic. Large, airy, well equipped and furnished. Breakfast was excellent.
