Tiny adults-only glamping site in remote Powys with just a handful of pitches, campfires allowed and peaceful enough for walkers.
About Maesnewydd
Maesnewydd is a small glamping site in a remote part of Powys near Meifod, with only one to ten pitches spread across a working farm. The peaceful, out-of-the-way setting appeals to adults seeking quieter surroundings, and the site actively welcomes dogs year-round.
Facilities include showers, a toilet block and washing-up area, plus internet access if you need it. There's a communal fridge on site, barbecues are provided, and campfires are allowed. A shop is nearby for supplies. The location suits walkers and cyclists, with cycling and fishing available in the area, and the scenery here is dramatic.
Commercial vehicles are welcome, and the site operates as a pop-up campsite, so it's worth checking opening dates before you visit.

What visitors say
Small but very well located. Close to a village but not too close. Friendly host and nice straight pitches. I would definitely come back. Short hike to the Devils bridge for a great view of the gorge from the campsite and great views from the pitches.

Stayed here for with my friend, for two nights, Julian and his wife were lovely and more than accommodating. We packed in all of their recommendations and had the most amazing time. The facilities, (shower and toilets) were excellent & the location that we stayed at had the most amazing views. Thank you so much Julian & family for a lovely trip.

Such a beautiful spot to camp, the night we were there, just two others camping, the place is just so quiet and peaceful wish we had been staying longer. Julian was really friendly when we arrived. They had electric pitches, basic but clean toilets and shower blocks, definitely worth a night or two if you are looking to just get off grid for a few days.

Friendly hosts, fantastic scenary, electric hookup, clean facilities. Lovely place to visit and for sure I would go back. The only niggle is the steep access which proved to be a bit of a struggle to leave. However, when I stayed it looked they were close to finishing an alternative entrance which should make all of that easier. Did I mention the scenary?
