Wattles

Mid Devon's quiet countryside around Lawpit Lodges offers the kind of escape where dark skies and distant meadows dominate the view. Wattles is a contemporary lodge on elevated farmland, set back from the road with its own decked terrace, garden furniture and a private hot tub. The whole property is yours alone—two bedrooms, two bathrooms, space to spread out, and an enclosed garden so pets and children can roam safely.

Inside, an open-plan ground floor combines living, dining and kitchen areas. One bedroom has a four-poster double with an ensuite shower; the other is a standard double served by a bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and full fridge-freezer. A woodburner takes the edge off cooler evenings, with initial logs supplied. Bed linen and towels are included. One well-behaved pet stays free of charge.

The wider area reaches easily to the Grand Western Canal for walks and cycle rides, Knighthayes and Powderham Castle within a few miles, and Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Devon coast further afield. A pub is roughly a mile away; shops and post office about two miles. The property does not permit smoking.
