🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Brae Lodge

Brae Lodge is a single-storey bungalow where everything unfolds on one level. Step inside and you're in a combined living and dining space with patio doors that open onto a raised terrace—the kind of spot built for watching sunsets over the water. A second television sits in the kitchen, which has an electric cooker, gas hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer, so you can prepare proper meals rather than making do. One bedroom holds a double bed and faces the sea; the other has twin singles and overlooks the enclosed garden. The bathroom has a bath with a shower above it. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.

Cullen itself is a working fishing village with colourful cottages built gable-end to the shore, independent shops and cafés dotted around, and a golf course with bay views practically adjacent. The Moray Coast Cycle Trail runs through here heading towards Burghead. This stretch of coast is known for its bottlenose dolphins—several local operators run wildlife cruises where you might also see seals, seabirds and occasionally whales. The dramatic landscape shifts between rugged cliffs, sheltered coves and sweeping beaches. No smoking inside the property. The garden has steps, so worth knowing if that matters.
