Title/Summary: Total rip-off with zero safety maintenance! Absolute health hazard.I am writing this review to express my absolute frustration and concern regarding the appalling infrastructure and lack of safety measures at Kilbroney Forest Park.First of all, the local council is extremely efficient when it comes to "grabbing money" from visitors. Charging a mandatory £5 vehicle entry fee for non-residents is a complete joke and an obvious rip-off, especially when you see what that money is (not) being spent on. The park is treated purely as a cash cow, while the actual infrastructure is neglected.The walking path up to the Cloughmore Stone is a total nightmare. After passing the big trees, the main hill is ridiculously steep and unreasonably designed for both ascending and descending. The entire track is covered in loose, slippery gravel and large stones. Today, I saw so many elderly people, young children, pregnant women, and even parents struggling to push prams over this hazardous terrain. It is extremely slippery and dangerous!Since the council is collecting commercial fees, they have a legal duty of care to ensure basic public safety and accessibility. Paving proper paths, adding stairs, or installing handrails would NOT harm the natural mountain environment, but it would save people from serious injuries.From a legal standpoint, you cannot simply shrug off your responsibilities by putting up a lazy "Enter at your own risk" disclaimer. The council has created a commercial service relationship by taking our £5. If a visitor slips, falls, or breaks a bone due to this poorly maintained track, the council is absolutely liable for negligence.Shame on the council for taking our money while providing a zero-maintenance, high-risk experience. Fix this path before someone gets seriously hurt!

Stayed 2 nites september 27th and 28th. Our pitch was on the lower level. Was a bit muddy. The upper level closer to facilities was a lot dryer. So will book that level next time. Facilities are excellent. Bathroom is so warm and spotless. Loved the area and will definitely be back.

Lovely quiet spot. Very family friendly with walks, playground and cafe. Staying in pitch 45 which is level unlike some of the others which have tricky slopes.

A great family campground. The facilities are kept clean and to a high standard. It is a family atmosphere with children running around. There are showers and washing up spaces, a cafe that is open during the day and lots of trails for walking and biking. There is overnight security which was nice to see. It is within walking distance to Rostrevor so you are never far from civilization.
