What visitors say
A magnificent historic house with stunning architecture and beautiful, expansive gardens. I visited in early July and the entire estate looked absolutely lovely. You can really feel the history of the Morgan family in every room. Walking through the 90 acres of grounds was the perfect way to spend a summer day; the gardens are serene and exceptionally well-maintained. A fantastic, peaceful place to spend an afternoon in Newport.

Wow! This wasn't on our wish list but so pleased we ended up here. So much history and superbly laid out. But what absolutely made the visit were the volunteers and staff on duty. INCREDIBLE. Not just full of knowledge but amazing at imparting it and telling the story of the house and family. They were engaging, friendly, personable, and just so very interesting to talk to and listen to. Each one brought the place to life and were just fascinatingly full of anecdotes. They went above and beyond when they learned how much our son was into early history. Genuinely can't thank them enough - they made our holiday and to think we weren't even going to be visiting. Guess it was fate. We will remember this visit for a long time to come. Well done National Trust and well done Team Tredegar

We had a wonderful visit. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Inside the house, they took the time to explain the history of the house in great detail, and their knowledge and enthusiasm made the visit even more enjoyable. The summer Pokémon trail was fantastic for children and added a fun, interactive element to the day. It was a great experience for the whole family. We would definitely recommend visiting!
