What visitors say
A pleasant place to visit. Small and family run. A tea area where you can get drinks and a selection of meals and treats. The shire horse experience was pleasant, the talk about the farm development and stories about the horses, some of whom were selected to become the "Drum Major" and featured at the Royal Cerimonies. A ride in a horse drawn carriage is available to visitors at no extra cost. 👍From my wife and I.

If you love horses, you'll love visiting the gentle giants at Dyfed Shire Horse Farm. The horses and other animals onsite were so gentle and just a delight to see. All the staff that we spoke to were lovely and very knowledgeable. Would certainly go back, next time we're in the area. Had some lunch in the cafe area, which was very tasty.

I loved seeing all the horses and the baby donkey. It does need money invested into the farm facilities very dated and tired. Shop needs more local items to buy. Food was basic but hot. Staff helpful and knowledgeable.

What a wonderful place for a visit. The horses are just magnificent, and there are donkeys, sheep and lambs too and a museum and lots of photos and artefacts to look at plus a little shop and a soft play area for children. ( A little tired in places but this is NOT Disneyworld.) We had a very tasty and very good value home made lunch and drinks from the lovely ladies in the kitchen who are so friendly and obliging. Everyone involved with the farm and animals are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and their passion, dedication, and love for the animals in their care is so obvious in everything they do. The young man Stefan who we met on our carriage ride, whose enthusiasm and empathy for his charges and his work was just a breath of fresh air. What a lovely young man. If you do visit, please, please do as we did and donate. These majestic horses and wonderful people that put their whole life into caring for them deserve to have an assured future. Thank you for a truly enjoyable visit, David & Shirley Smith
