What visitors say
What a lovely quirky site. Such a warm welcome from both of the owners. We even got a lift to the train station which was very much appreciated as we were running late! We had a key to our own private toilet. The shower is shared- but this really isn’t an issue as we had a shower in our van anyways. Great location for going into Newport or Cardiff. 15 minute walk to the station, and 20 minutes on the train to Cardiff. We heard about future plans for the site and it all sounds very exciting! Thanks for a lovely welcoming stay!

We had a lovely, quiet and relaxed stay in our caravan.Great base to explore some of Wales neigbouring towns. Colleen and Sam are fantastic hosts, attentive, friendly and genuinely kind hearted people. The surroundings were well kept and tidy. We felt welcome and were looked after by the family. We will definitely return. Linda and Paul.

Is it perfect? Not quite. Is it a little quirky and unique? Absolutely – and that’s what makes it so special. Is it a genuine gypsy site? In part, yes – and it’s all the better for it. This charming little smallholding is full of character and heart. With horses grazing nearby, cheeky goats, friendly chickens, and a brilliant pigeon loft, it offers a rustic charm that’s impossible to fake. The site has a lovely mishmash feel, with real personality and a story behind it. Sam, the owner, comes from proud gypsy heritage and is an absolute gem. We were lucky enough to meet his two grandsons – both incredibly polite, articulate, and respectful young men – and even learned one of them is a world champion slingshot shooter! Sam himself is warm, funny, and full of incredible stories. He welcomed us like old friends and made our stay unforgettable. Having been a member of both the C&MH Club and the Caravan & Motorhome Club for many years, I can honestly say I’ve never received a warmer, more genuine welcome. Sam has big dreams for this place, and with a little help from the local council, it’s only going to get better. This is a hidden gem with soul – I’d return in a heartbeat.

Myself and partner called this campsite to see if we could get booked within 10 minutes we was welcomed with warm arms and set up! Absolutely lovely environment here and no fault at all! They helped with directions and suggestions in where to eat/go. They even helped with jumping our van as the battery had died! 100% be visiting again when in wales
