Spent a couple of nights camping at Ty Coch, and what a fantastic little place it is! There was plenty of space for everyone, all caravans had a decent space between them; the camping field was large, with a second overspill smaller field. The facilities were very nice and clean, with a good catering of coffees and teas for walkers! Plenty of toilets and showers for everyone. The site itself is very peaceful (some road & train noise but it was more due to the wind direction than anything else), with amazing wildlife around (including owls and resident goats!). Nigel & Maria were very, very friendly and welcoming not just with me but with every guest they spoke with. If you're walking the WCP, it's a great little stopover between Caerdydd and Casnewydd. And there is a very good and reliable bus service to the latter close by. St Brides may not be an obvious stop, but it's worth it just to stay at Ty Coch.

Absolutely lovely campsite. We stayed with our rooftop tent and were welcomed very warmly. Good facilities and peaceful spaced out campsites with much greenery around. You can walk to the sea from the campsite (although you have to get there by walking on a big road) we did think it was worth it and it gave us lovely views of the water inlet. Would 100% recommend.

What a lovely little peaceful oasis. I needed a place to camp for a night not far from Cardiff and this came up. So glad I chose this. A pretty green site with a pond full of ducks and fish, plenty of trees and shade, and right at the back a big field with some friendly goats next door :) I didn’t use the showers but the toilets were clean and tidy. Maria the owner was very helpful and kept in good contact beforehand and greeted me warmly on arrival. My only request would be - please put a drinking water tap in the field at the back where I stayed. It would make life a little easier. But it wasn’t too far to go to fill up my bottles. One bit of advice, if coming from Cardiff don’t take the short cut along Wentloog Road B4239, it’s horrendous and full of potholes! Instead do yourself a favour and take the A48 and come via Marshfield.

Stayed 3 nights at Ty Coch after a friend's recommendation. Had a good size pitch by a large pine tree, offering plenty of shade, also with a picnic bench and electric. Good showers and clean facilities. Great location for the estuary..good local pub 'y maerun', travelled out to Tredegar Hse, Porthcawl, Landegffeg Reservoir, and Barry. Deffo stay again if heading that way.
