The house we were allocated was directly behind the leisure centre. In a row of 4 or 5 houses ours was the only one that looked drab and run down on the outside but had hopes that the interior would be better. Initially everything looked ok. One of the two external doors wouldn’t lock. I don’t know what was up with the mechanism as it would lock when the door was open but as soon as you closed the door the lock wouldn’t turn all the way. I went to the check in desk and reported it, this was within the first three hours of being on site. Was told that maintenance would be there to sort it asap. Went about our evening and returned to the house. The next morning we decided we would have a day on site and to wait for maintenance, assuming that they would be with us soon as an external door not locking was a safety and security issue and assumed this would be a high priority. By 10am I realised that I needed to get supplies, snacks, meals etc as we had bought breakfast from the cafe and realised the prices were ridiculous for what we got, £7 for a sausage and bacon bap and it was one sausage cut in half and two small bits of bacon, in comparison a three sausage ciabatta from M&S cafe just a bit further down the A30 was only £5.50. Asked at the desk if they knew roughly maintenance would be there and was informed they couldn’t tell me but they would call them to make sure they had the job. I had to risk leaving the house unlocked whilst I went to Morrisons. I got back within the hour and then waited. And waited. And waited. Over the week maintenance never arrived. It seems like the safety and security of their customers aren’t a priority. In order to enjoy our holiday I ended up putting a chair up against the door (it was the back door that had half the door as windows) in order to make it look like we weren’t using it. I still felt very uncomfortable leaving the house unlocked so we never ventured far and were only ever out for 4 hours maximum in a day. That door not being fixed really ruined our holiday. On top of that, with being situated directly behind the leisure centre we had to put up with the centre’s air conditioning units going all night and the music from the gym, which wasn’t turned off at night and the windows were left open. It was in the middle of a heatwave and we wanted to have the windows open at night but then struggled to sleep because of the noise. In the house, there were faulty lights everywhere. Some not working, two out of the three bathrooms had lights directly above the showers that looked like they could cause serious issues if they were to get wet (I have posted pictures, one sunken in to the ceiling and one coming away from the ceiling) the plug in the sink of the en suite went in and then never came out so water was just sat in the sink all week, there was black mould starting to grow in the corner of the kitchen window sill and in the shower of the en suite bathroom, one of the lights in the upstairs bathroom would randomly start flashing (we’re just lucky no one suffers from photosensitive epilepsy as that would certainly have triggered a seizure, which would have been incredibly dangerous given the fact that it’s in a bathroom) a lot of the windows were poorly fitted, they were stiff to open and had to be lifted somehow to close them, the living room top window had to be lifted and closed from the outside. Two out of the three lights above the bathroom mirrors didn’t work, they didn’t even have pull cords, two out of the three bathroom extractor fans didn’t work and on the fourth day of our stay the downstairs developed an ant problem. Checkout is from 7am-10am but where you drop your keys off isn’t open until 7:30am so if you want an early start you have to wait half an hour, we were lucky because there was a member of staff stood outside talking to another person who had just arrived who I was able to hand our keys to. The only positive to our stay was the location. Easy to get to other places and only a short drive to some beautiful beaches.

Overall: Loved it & its a wounderful holiday park! Highly recommend the visit! Pros: . Welcoming staff . Few different toilet locations . Decent play park and water slide outside . Decent shop by park . Inside & outside swiming pool with sauna located by the inside pool and 2x Ice baths 10°c & 4°c (AMAZING) also on the inside pool theres a baby pool that warm. (Book either of the pools a week in advance) . These a decent gym and café located where the inside pool is & a yoga studio upstairs. (Book a week in advance). . Solar lights leading the way to toliets switching on as you walk. . 2x Tennis courts (bring your bats & balls) Cons: (and they are not major) . Changing rooms in the indoor swimming pool, no privacy at all, hated this! Especially when a guy had his little daughter walk in the mens and unknowing to him it was all open, there I am butt naked with my ding dong out (felt bad for him & the girl) but he didnt have a choice being a tot. (SO PLEASE LOOK AT CHANGING THIS TO BE PRIVATE). . Some electric pitch hook up points were quite far from our pitch (could add more closer ones). . Driving in when gate became locked was hard to figure out where to drive in the right direction, there no entry signs where the only way to get into fistral field & crantock field is go at the top carpark of the indoor swiming pool is and go left where there 2x no entry sign's (signage needs to be more understanding and location of amenities etc. . Shower rooms need some more hooks rather than just one & wash bottle shelves to put your shampoo bottles on, rather than the floor & maybe a fold down seat to put your stuff on to get changed so it prevents eveything getting soaked while changing. (I think I took a pic of how bare it was). . On the wooden steps in the photo leading to the toilets by the park, maybe add some black & yellow step hazard ledges to them so the steps are noticable stepping down. (Some people have poor eye sight and this could help massively). We have camped here twice now, first time was watergate field pitch 22, I wasn't keen on that time, the toilets were abit crummy, floor was like a bouncy castle and just falling apart BUT! they were kept as good as they could & the toilet's have been being upgraded. Maybe add some of those solar lights at watergate field to on the paths. Ohhhh one thing that got to me was & e-bike riding (altho its good it was allowed) there was a kid on a e-bike that was constantly riding about way too fast & skidding about & cutting in on pitches, my 5 year old nephew nearly got knocked over from this kid (witch could have been very bad, I have seen people hurt & kill because of these) so maybe a designated area because it would be nice to have an area to play with these things for kids etc. The non aggressive approach Atlantic has is nice rather than other places like Hendra etc Dont do this, Dont do that....No this, No that. I get it for rules but someplaces are over the top, so Im glad Atlantic reach is chill. Also the prices is what would keep people coming, we wasnt stupidly over charged for camping! Other places was all stupidly money grabbing....the care for customers show and that is what will keep people coming back & I would love to come back here. I have noticed on some reviews that are bad abd no responses from Atlantic Reach, and loads given to positive feedback, as frustrating as it is I would give some more feedback to negative aswell as positive, i.e "We are sorry your experience was not great, we are upgrading more and more things as we grow, we hope in future you will come back and have a positive experience".....etc etc

A wonderful stay over Easter. Fantastic facilities and a wonderful swimming pool which was easy to book onto the throughout out stay. The kids particularly enjoyed the arcades. The guy who runs the camping area was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help those who were in tents during the high winds ( we were grateful to have our caravan that night!)

Really nice, clean, well equipped chalet. Ten mins drive to a couple of supermarkets to get supplies. Maccies is also ten 10 mins away. Outdoor and indoor swimming pool really well maintained. Children's pool indoors is as warm as a bath, perfect for little ones
