What visitors say
Fantastic, well looked after site. It has all the facilities you'd expect on a camp site and more. Showers are free, has laundry facilities (small charge), there's a fridge, microwave and kettle you can use. It has a bike shed and some stuff to do a bit of maintenance (didn't use it bit it looked relatively new). I camped so I can't comment on the static caravans but the site is lovely. Good location to go walking around Loch Trool.

Arrived after reception had closed and without a booking after a whole day of extremely difficult hiking. Not fancying another day of wild camping, we thought we'd try the site to set up our tent and have a shower. Got helped pretty much straight away, super friendly.

Shine mostly for its location directly next to the forest park, and size of motorhome pitches, especially the new ones. But the shower toilet area was underwhelming, only 2 showers, only cold water the 1st night and no toilet paper the next morning.

This is a beautiful caravan park in a beautiful location, set in a dark sky park and surrounded by rolling hills and a lush mix of deciduous and coniferous forests. Wild life ranges are large and red deer are frequently seen in surrounding areas, although for a closer look at them there is the red deer range where you can go for free and feed them by hand. Local super markets are about 8 miles away with a choice of take aways should you choose, most only take cash but there is a cash machine within a couple hundred meters at the co-op. The facilities on site are very clean and done to a good standard, with pitches for static, hard standing touring, and camping beside their lily filled pond. The site itself was very tidy with absolutely zero litter, the grounds are well kept and the staff very friendly. For those arriving with a caravan, the roads leading up to it are smooth and plenty wide enough to not be of a concern after a long drive. Access is easy enough from the M6 via the A75 where it's mostly national speed limit, and few large hills with no steep gradients. A fully deserved 5 star location.
