Ash Hut is a single-storey camping cabin sleeping two, complete with a private hot tub, parking for two cars, and a garden with firepit and seating. Everything needed for a stay is provided: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with the initial fuel for the hot tub. A welcome pack arrives when you check in.
The cabin contains a king-size bedroom, a shower room with heated towel rail, and a combined living and kitchen area. The kitchen is properly fitted out with an induction hob, microwave, slow cooker, air fryer, and fridge-freezer, so you can cook without restriction rather than making do with basics. There's no television. One small dog can stay free, provided it's kept on a lead. The property does not accept children, and smoking is not permitted.
Temple Bruer sits in quiet countryside south of Lincoln. The city itself, with its cathedral, castle and steep Georgian streets, is a short drive away. Walking and cycling routes crisscross the surrounding landscape, and nearby villages have pubs and shops. The location takes its name from the remains of a Knights Templar preceptory, which is accessible locally. Access to the cabin is via four steps.

The shepherd’s hut itself is lovely, and has everything you need in the hut, but unfortunately our stay was disappointing overall. We have stayed in several places with hot tubs and specifically chose this property because of that feature. When we arrived, the hot tub was empty and there were no spare logs provided. I phoned the owner, who explained that they don’t pre-fill the tub in winter due to the risk of freezing. While I understand this, we recently stayed somewhere else in winter where the owners contacted us in advance to arrange our arrival time so the hot tub could be ready. There were some logs set up in the hot tub ready to light, but no spare ones. The instructions stated that logs needed to be added every 10–15 minutes to heat it, so we quickly realised we didn’t have enough. As we were staying for two nights, I was surprised that more logs weren’t included. We were advised to try the local Co-op, but unfortunately they had sold out. Driving around in the dark on icy roads was not exactly the start of a relaxing break that we were hoping for. The next day we drove 20 minutes to a BP garage to get the logs. Considering we paid £210 for two nights, we didn’t feel the experience was good value for money given these issues. Overall, I think this would be a lovely place to visit in the summer, and if you have come prepared with your own logs, but based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend it for a winter stay.

Loved everything about this wonderful glamping spot. The hut was snug and had everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was amazing also. We came with our little dog too who absolutely loved the space to roam and chase his ball. Very secluded and peaceful area. Would definitely recommend. X

Really special place to stay! We had an amazing time, so relaxing and beautiful. I would recommend to everyone who wants peaceful time for themselves. P.s. as well is nice that we could take our dog with us.
