Lily Pad 1 opens into a ground-floor living space that combines a lounge, dining area and kitchen in one flowing room. The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer—with French doors leading out to a private, enclosed garden where you can sit outside or eat al fresco. Upstairs are two further bedrooms. The single bathroom on the ground floor has a bath, walk-in shower and heated towel rail.
The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms. The first two bedrooms each have a zip-and-link super king bed (convertible to two singles on request) with Freeview TV; the third has two single beds. Essentials like bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There's on-site parking for two cars, and one dog is welcome to stay at no extra charge. Families with young children will find a travel cot and highchair available if you ask when you book.
The property sits in the Nene Valley and has shared access to an indoor heated swimming pool (8m by 4m), open from 08:00 to 21:00, with changing facilities and showers on-site. Non-smokers only. Elsie's Vintage Tea Room is nearby if you fancy a break from cooking.

We stayed in Lily Pad Cottage 7 for three nights in May 2026. The cottage itself is basic but pleasant with a well stocked kitchen. The back garden is small for the size of the cottage, but was fine to sit out in the sun for a bit. The bedrooms were fine (again quite basic) though the mattresses felt very cheap. One family said they could feel the springs poking through some areas of theirs (this was the room at the back with the biggest bed). The sofa bed was very saggy, but OK for one person. The location and pool were the best parts for us. There are loads of lovely options for walks, and the pool was perfect: nice and warm and pretty clean.

We had a lovely break here in half term. We took our disabled son and stayed in cottage 8 which was perfect and so accessible. Cottage was lovely and setting was peaceful and iddilic. Jane was very welcoming and we met Pimm’s the dog who was lovely. We will definitely return lily pad is a rare find for wheelchair users.

We booked The Lily Pad cottages 2, 7, 8 and 9 for our groups holiday. We were all in agreement that The Lily Pad met our needs very nicely. The flexibilty of different size cottages meant we could get together or have our own space whenever it suited us. The pool room was ideal and provided a great source of entertainment, exercise and escape for our children, which in turn made everyone's time more relaxing and enjoyable. We were delighted that the pool was heated to a comfortably warm temperature. Jane was very attentive to our needs and it was reassuring to know she was on site to help out. We are looking forward to booking again!

Lovely set of cottages, stayed in no 7, which had a few minor cosmetic issues that would be understandable for time/age/usage, but the extra pleasure of a very warm swimming pool was a bonus. We had a few teething issues in regard to heating upstairs on the Friday night, and although the owner was away on holiday, she was responsive to our text and following her guidance we were able to have a warm sleep on the Saturday night. The beds were a bit too soft for us but that is just personal preference. The cottage was well equipped for our stay.
