East Ridge Farm Holiday Cottages - Swift Cottage

Open the door to Swift Cottage and you step into a converted sandstone barn with proper space to spread out. The ground floor is built for living: a hallway wide enough to shed walking boots, a kitchen with an oak-floored dining area and everything you need to cook, and a separate sitting room with a corner sofa facing the TV. A shower room on this level means you don't have to trek upstairs in the night. Three bedrooms are arranged on the first floor – two doubles and a twin – along with a family bathroom fitted with a bath and shower.

The cottage stands near Staithes in North Yorkshire, with the coast about six minutes' drive away. It's positioned on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, surrounded by countryside. There's a lawned garden shared with other properties on the farm, and private parking for two cars. One dog can stay free of charge. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. An unfenced pond exists in the garden, so this matters if children will be present. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
