Mallard’s Nest

North Yorkshire

View on Google Maps

Mallard's Nest is an end-terrace cottage built from stone, its character defined by original wooden beams that run throughout. Positioned on the edge of Skipton town centre, it sits within walking distance of the high street, the canal and Skipton Castle. A pub stands 150 yards away; the market and shops are roughly 400 yards off.

The ground floor is arranged as one open living space, with a kitchen fitted for proper cooking, a dining area and a sitting room where windows look toward the canal. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one single—and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Essentials including bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided. There is parking for one car on site, with additional spaces available on the street. One well-behaved pet stays free.

The cottage works well for couples, friends or small families wanting to explore the Dales. The Steam Railway at Embsay runs a mile away toward Bolton Abbey; the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Harrogate and York are all within driving distance. Smoking is not permitted inside.
