Mogg Cottage
North Yorkshire
Photo: Google Maps
Pickering sits at the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, a market town surrounded by walking country and home to a working steam railway. Mogg Cottage is a stone-built house on the town's edge, sleeping six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main bedroom has a king bed and ensuite; a double and twin bedroom complete the upstairs, with a family bathroom offering both bath and shower. One dog stays free.
Downstairs, a living room with woodburner and smart TV opens to a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave included. The back garden is enclosed, with furniture, a barbecue, and a private two-person hot tub. There is parking for two cars on site and a bike store. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the woodburner and hot tub are covered. The cottage does not permit smoking.
Four steps lead to the entrance and another four are in the garden. Families with young children will find a travel cot, highchair and stairgate here. From the cottage you can walk to Pickering's shops and restaurants, or strike out into the moors on foot or by bike.
