Hinderwell sits on the edge of the Yorkshire coast, with Runswick Bay and Staithes nearby and the North Yorkshire Moors inland. The Badger Sett occupies a converted Victorian post office in the village, just within a mile of the sea. It spreads across three floors and sleeps ten in five bedrooms: a double with ensuite on the ground floor, another double with ensuite on the first floor, and three more bedrooms upstairs (a double, a twin, and a bunk room), served by a family bathroom. Three bathrooms in total give reasonable space for a group.
The ground floor contains the kitchen, where you can cook from scratch with a full range of appliances, and a dining room. An enclosed patio with seating opens from the kitchen for eating outdoors. The first floor has a living room with a TV and a separate WC. Essentials are covered: Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and a travel cot and highchair are available. One well-behaved pet can stay free of charge. The house is non-smoking.
This works for extended family groups or friends wanting a coastal base without being right on the seafront. R Lyth Butchers in Hinderwell is within walking distance for supplies. Arrive after 3pm, depart by 10am.
