Tormire Laithe

North Yorkshire

The Yorkshire Dales are at their best on foot: Airton sits on several walking routes through limestone valleys, and the village itself—a mile or so away—has a pub, a shop, and easy access to trails toward Malham. Tormire Laithe is positioned to make the most of this, a converted stone barn down a quiet lane with meadow views and clear sight lines across open country. The setting suits anyone after solitude and good air; children under 12 are not accommodated.

The property spreads across two floors. Downstairs, the kitchen and dining area have an Aga and full appliances for cooking from scratch, with a wood-burning stove in the living room. Upstairs, a kingsize bedroom with ensuite shower and a single bedroom both have countryside views; there is also a separate bathroom with a bath and skylight. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, sleeping three. Bed linen and towels come with the booking, as does the initial fuel for the burner. Heating is underfloor.

Outside, a private hot tub (capacity four) sits on the flagged terrace among garden furniture and the enclosed rear garden. On-site parking takes two cars. No smoking throughout.
