West House Farm
North Yorkshire
Muston sits on the Yorkshire Wolds Way, a 79-mile walking trail across rolling countryside made famous by David Hockney's paintings. The village is quiet and rural, yet only a short drive from Filey, where a long sandy beach stretches along the coast backed by shops, restaurants and bars. West House Farm is a Grade II listed property dating from 1745, restored to high standards while keeping original period features intact.
The house sleeps ten across five bedrooms, each with an ensuite or access to a full bathroom. The ground floor has two living spaces (one with a 40-inch smart TV, one without), a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and two woodburners. Upstairs are four bedrooms with singles and doubles, plus a games room with another TV. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included, along with initial fuel for the woodburners. The enclosed courtyard, created from the original farmyard, has patio seating and garden furniture. There's parking for three cars and a bike store.
The layout suits large groups or multi-family stays. A pub sits within walking distance. Children and groups of friends will find enough space to spread out, while anyone serious about the Wolds Way or Filey beach has everything on the doorstep. No smoking throughout.
