Farne Cottage

Boat trips to the Farne Islands, castle visits across Northumberland's coast, and long sandy beaches are all within easy reach of Farne Cottage. The village of Seahouses itself—where the cottage stands less than 100 yards from the working harbour—has shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants within a short walk. A links golf course overlooks the coastline from nearby, and horse riding can be arranged on the village outskirts.

The cottage is a single-storey property with everything on one level. Two bedrooms sleep four: one has a double bed, the other two single beds that zip together. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is fitted with an electric cooker and microwave for self-catering meals, and the living room has a wood-burning stove, TV and DVD player. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; fuel for the stove is too. An external utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. One well-behaved dog stays free. The enclosed garden has seating and furniture, and there is parking for two cars on site. No smoking inside.

This suits families and small groups wanting a base for exploring the Northumberland coast without fuss. The property is not suitable for those with mobility issues, and children will need supervision near the harbour and beach.
