🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Quay Cottage

Northumberland

View on Google Maps

Quay Cottage sits on the working harbour at Seahouses, a traditional fishing village on Northumberland's coast. The cottage itself is a restored fisherman's house with a double bedroom and two single beds downstairs, a shower room also on the ground floor, and an open-plan living and dining space upstairs that opens onto a balcony facing the water. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. There is parking for one car on site.

Everything in Seahouses is within easy walking distance: tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and a row of independent shops line the harbour front. Boats leave from here for the Farne Islands, which are home to nesting seabirds and grey seals. Bamburgh lies two miles north, with its castle and long sandy beach; Holy Island can be seen from there on clear days. The coast around here suits walkers, and there is horse riding and a links golf course nearby. The cottage does not allow smoking.
