Families and small groups will find The Hemmel works well for a coastal break, especially those who value space and a proper fireplace. The cottage holds six across three bedrooms—a double, a kingsize with its own shower room, and two singles—with a shared bathroom on the ground floor. The layout splits usefully: kitchen and one bedroom downstairs, the other two bedrooms upstairs with views across open farmland.
Inside, there's a wood burner in the main living room, a kitchen equipped for cooking (induction hob, oven, dishwasher), and one dog travels free. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi come as standard, and initial fuel for the burner is included. Outside, the garden has mature shrubs and lawn overlooking fields, with space for three cars to park. The cottage does not permit smoking.
Christon Bank village, where a pub serves the area, sits less than a mile away. Embleton's beach and coastal facilities are roughly two miles east, and Craster—a working harbour known for smoked fish—lies a further three miles, with clifftop walks toward Dunstanborough Castle nearby.
