Todburn East
Northumberland
Todburn East is a detached four-bedroom house set on an active equestrian centre in open Northumberland countryside. The property sleeps eight across bedrooms on the ground and first floors, with three bathrooms including a roll-top bath and two shower rooms. Mostly single-storey, it sits just two minutes from the A697 yet far enough into quiet farmland to feel genuinely remote, with the Devils Causeway crossing fields nearby.
The ground floor centres on a living room with an open fire, DVD player and French doors into a conservatory dining room. The kitchen has both an electric cooker and an Aga (available October to April), dishwasher and washer-dryer for self-catering flexibility. Three bedrooms are on this level: two with king beds (one with ensuite shower), one with a pair of singles. The fourth bedroom, on the first floor, holds a double and single bed with a 32-inch TV. Throughout the house, bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are provided, with initial logs for the fire during winter months. One dog stays free in the 90-square-metre enclosed garden, and stabling can be arranged with the owner.
The conservatory opens onto sitting-out areas and garden furniture, with countryside views across the lawned grounds. Parking fits four cars on site. Alnwick Castle is 14½ miles away; Rothbury with its riverside pubs and cafés is 8½ miles; Cragside (National Trust) is near Rothbury; Druridge Bay coast lies 14½ miles south; Otterburn and Kielder Dark Sky Park are 22 miles north.
