What diners say
Booked a table here to watch the World Cup as it's just around the corner from my office. Brilliant pub for live sport, with plenty of screens. They also serve what I genuinely think is the best pint of Guinness in London. The staff were welcoming and friendly too. I'll definitely be back!

Went last weekend to watch the Kerry game, could not recommend it more. The staff were absolutely outstanding and couldn’t be more helpful in setting up the game, getting the volume right, getting all the different tvs in sync etc. I left my bag behind accidentally and the bar man had brought it straight behind the bar when he realised. Really really received a true display of Irish hospitality here. Went to an “O’Neills” Irish pub today as was in a different part of the city, it has nothing on here- it’s just a chain pub, nothing Irish about it. Looking forward to coming back and getting food too next time. Thank you!

Listen to everyone! The best Guinness in London! Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place. Visited on a Sunday afternoon before venturing into central London and it’s a beautiful little spot. Down the stairs into a wonderfully wooden-clad basement. The booths are super and the ambience was nice even with only a few people in there. Will definitely come back when it’s busier for a different experience!

🚇 Old Street 🍺 £6.65 Guinness Gibney’s is located just south of Old Street roundabout close to Bunhill Fields. The nearest Tube is Old Street, it’s a couple of minutes walk to get here. This Irish Bar opened in March 2020 and sits beneath sister restaurant, Daffodil Mulligan. The bar is run by the Gibney family who own “Gibney’s” which is one of Dublin’s most celebrated pubs. You enter the bar through a door to the right hand side of the restaurant and head down some stairs to the basement. The servery is located on the right hand side and stretches down the length of the bar. Opposite the servery are some cosy dark wood booths with red leather seating and TV’s. There is plenty of seating throughout with poser tables up the middle and banquettes around the perimeter. There are also a few large screens for watching live sport. The beer selection offers a diverse mix of familiar favourites, Irish craft beers from @ryeriverbrewingco and @5lampsbrewery , Gibney’s own Stout and of course Guinness. I decided on a Guinness, my pint was excellent, price point was a little high. There is a Bar Snacks and Sharers menu if you’re hungry, dishes include Korean Pork Bites, Cauliflower Bhajis, if you want to push the boat out, there is a Suckling Pig to share costing £96. I arrived around 1pm on an overcast Saturday lunchtime in March. The pub was fairly busy with a few different groups, some solo imbibers and some lads sat at the bar. The atmosphere was upbeat with Irish folk songs and 80’s rock classics setting the backdrop to the ambience. The service was top drawer, the chap behind the ramp was on the ball and having the craic with lads at the bar. This Bar shows live sport including Rugby, Football, Horse Racing, NFL and all major sporting events. There is also Live Music, Acoustic sets and traditional Irish Trad nights. Visiting @gibneys.london was a very enjoyable experience. The hospitality was warm, the @guinness was great and the setting a place you could easily loose an afternoon in. No Irish pub gimmicks here, this place is definitely worth a visit. ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 16.03.24
