What diners say
I’ve been to Singer Tavern multiple times, mostly for work-related meetups, and I’ve usually had a great time - except for one recurring issue: the music volume. Today, I went again to meet a group, and the music was even louder than usual. I asked if it could be turned down, but nothing changed. We waited for a while, hoping it would improve, but eventually had to step outside just so we could actually hear each other. We didn’t choose a club for a reason after work, we want to catch up and talk, especially about work. It’s a shame because I do like the place, but the consistently loud music makes it difficult compared to other pubs I frequent. If you want a pub that feels more like a club where you can’t hear anyone, this is the place for you. But if you’re planning to have a proper conversation, especially work-related, I’d recommend going elsewhere. Maybe all that’s needed is some acoustic treatment like ceiling spray or panels. I work in construction, so it stood out to me straight away. They love people but they hate ears.

Went for drinks with work colleagues and we had booked a table in advance. The staff were friendly and pleasant throughout. We had a dedicated waitress for our table who checked in regularly to take drink orders, and everything was delivered promptly. It was a very warm June evening, but the place wasn’t too busy compared to other spots in the area. The music was really good, though the group did find it extremely loud, making it difficult to talk or hear one another without shouting. Otherwise, it was a nice experience. I don’t drink alcohol, and there was a good selection of soft drinks and 0% cocktails available.
