Great little site for camping. We stayed during a heatwave making it too hot to fully explore the area on walks because of the dogs but we did drive down into the town which is really quaint. James the owner very welcoming. Free WiFi which was an added bonus. Large wheelbarrows on hand to transport your gear onto the pitch, I think it's a great idea not to have cars parked next to your tents and it was only a short hop over from the car park. Great shower block and freezer on site too. Despite the unprecedented heat everyone on site were having a great time.

Stayed in a pod overnight for Camper Jam festival and very glad to have discovered this place. The owner, James, was incredibly accommodating for our check in. Pod and washroom facilities were clean and comfortable. Lovely atmosphere and location — just a shame we weren't staying longer! Highly recommend for a peaceful nature break.

Lovely views. Good campsite with lots of level grass for tents. We stayed in the only campervan spot (smaller campers only) which is a little away from the other camping and directly next to the entrance track which is worth considering in busier times with roaming toddlers (cars aren't likely to be going too fast but still a potential hazard). Shower block does everything it needs to. The firepits are great and plentiful. Overall a good solid, slightly rough around the edges campsite.

My husband, dog a I had a wonderful stay at Irongorge camping. It's perfectly placed with beautiful sunset views. It's 15 minutes to town, the great coalbroaks Inn pub (dog friendly!) and embers cafe (also dog friendly and delicious!) We spotted deer running across the field across the valley, along with some beautiful horses. James and everyone were extremely helpful and lovely and cannot thank him enough for coming to the rescue and jumping our cars dead battery when we were leaving!
