About Travelodge Paignton Seafront

A cooked or continental breakfast and an on-site bar give Travelodge Paignton Seafront a straightforward start and end to the day, with a restaurant also available for guests who prefer not to head out. It's a practical base for exploring this stretch of the Devon coast, sitting near Paignton Pier and the zoo, with Torquay and Brixham both within easy reach.

The hotel has 92 rooms across four floors, all with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in the room, plus accessible rooms and a lift for those who need them. Rooms are simply furnished and functional, and while the seafront setting is a regular draw, some guests have found the rooms showing their age in places. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, which counts for a lot on a family break.

Pets are welcome, and there's an electric vehicle charge point along with chargeable on-site parking at the front and rear, though spaces can be limited at busy times and vehicles need to be registered with reception. Beyond the hotel, guests can find fishing, watersports, pubs and restaurants nearby, with entertainment options close by too. It's a no-frills stay built around a good location on the seafront.

Last-minute booking for our Wedding Anniversary. The room cheap and cheerful, as always are a basic, warm, comfortable place to lay your head. We had a drink in the bar/restaurant which was nice, although an alternative to Stella on tap would have been better. Chloe and Luka on the desk were lovely, and absolute stars providing extras such as a wine cooler fulled will ice and some plates and cuttlery for our food delivery. The morning manager was also great extending our parking free of charge, as our day excursion meant it would expire before we returned to leave. The view from the room was obscured by buildings, but the beach/sea front was a 2 minute walk across the street, which was perfect considering the inexpensive price.

I stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting my family. I stayed in a second floor room and I had a lovely stay. The room was quiet and had a nice sea view from the window. It was clean and the bed was comfy. All the staff were lovely from the housekeeping who said hello in the corridors to the reception staff and the night staff and bar staff. Everyone was friendly and had a smile and kindly looked after my case for me while I went out for the day with my parents. The hotel is also dog friendly and has a little jar of dog treats on the counter. Some reviews say the rooms smell, I didn’t find this on my visit and stayed in two different rooms after extending my stay, all I smelt was the sea which would be of sense being its right outside, but nothing unpleasant. The car park is very small, so if you drive down be prepared that you might not get a space, there is a public car park 5 minutes walk away which has more spaces but I’m not sure of the cost. I took the train as it’s easier. The train station is approx 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel following the sea front. It’s a nice scenic walk through the town and onto the sea front. If you need and food and drink for your room there is a Sainsbury’s local about 10 minutes walk left of the hotel on the Torbay Road. I had a nice stay, it was quiet and comfortable with friendly staff in a perfect location.

We stayed one night. The check in staff were very friendly and welcoming. We went out for the early evening and then spent the rest of the night in the bar. Again staff were very friendly. We didn't eat whilst there but the food looked okay. I would definitely stay there again. It's on the edge of Paignton town and has a carpark.

Clean room, comfortable bed, shower not particularly powerful but does the job. Friendly staff & nice bar area. Great location. If the car park is full, there's another one just down the road, less than 5 minutes walk. Easy walk to the town.
