Loch Earn Leisure Park

Great location ... but tight road before getting into the site specifically the bridge so be cautious especially if driving with a tourer The site itself was nice and reasonably clean BUT the gravel pitches for tourers is very very tight to manoeuvre, unfortunately during our stay because the gravel pitches are over septic tanks it was absolutely stinking... the smell was god awful and after talking to reception about it they said they would try "flush them" but not sure if they did or not because the smell never went away. Cannot explain how bad the smell was!!!, it made us constantly nauseous and because of this we wont be back. To have a hot shower it cost's £1 for 4/5 minutes of hot water but the toilet cubicles were always pretty clean. Also need to pay a £10 key deposit for the toilets. Restaurant is good and bar staff are lovely! Not reccomend for tourers on gravel pitch due to the tightness, location and smell.

Just spent 2 nights here in our campervan, we had everything we wanted and no complaints. Touring pitches are not the most scenic which is moaned about in other reviews, but they are very close to all the facilities and you can't always have it all ways! We just wanted a couple chill nights on the water so we weren't bothered. This is primarily a static park and not a touring park, so expect a slightly different experience compared to a touring site. Lovely views of the surrounding hills anyway and all staff we encountered were great. Andrea who checked is in was lovely, really friendly and had a right good laugh. As fellow holiday park workers we have a lot of stories in common! Facilities were clean and tidy but there was no mop to clean up after your shower and that went against the grain for us, walking out leaving puddles. You need to buy tokens from the amazingly well stocked shop for shower, laundry, hairdryers etc, so don't arrive late for a one night stopover where you will want to use these things. Just arrive in the afternoon and make use of the beautiful South Shore Lodge, where the food is lovely and the bar is very well stocked. We were served by Mikey who was brilliant and poured a perfect Guinness. Spoke to the park manager when we checked out, again he was very friendly and had such a laugh. Worth knowing is the whole area is completely devoid of phone signal and there is no WiFi for touring pitches (which is better than having useless, unusable WiFi 🤣) but there is WiFi in the bar/restaurant. I have been in this area many times so knew I would have no signal the entire length of the loch, not bothered by it but I know it will be hell on earth for many. Were out on the paddleboards and interestingly in the middle of the loch I picked up signal. In any case, we will absolutely be back here to make use of the loch side position. And the bar!

Was here Thursday till Saturday with my touring caravan the site is on a beautiful location and its a clean site. The down side to this site is the stink from the septic tanks that are under the your touring caravan or camper vans on the hard standing gravel pitches, when complained to the staff they said they would get someone to lift the lids and hose them through, that never happened, couldn't sit outside because the smell was too bad was such a disappointment and wasted of coupe of days break. Best part of it was the restaurant 👌 there food was first class and the staff are brilliant. In all the site needs to get there act together and get there septic tanks and touring pitches sorted out!!! BREATHING IN STRONG SMELL OF URINE AND STOOLS IS NOT WHAT PEOPLE WANT WHEN ON HOLIDAY AND DEFINITELY NOT WHAT WE PAY FOR.

One of my favourite places in the world. So beautiful, so peaceful and my happy place. Thanks to Alan for helping us out after a 4 hour drive and forgetting the keys! He was very kind and patient, looked after us well. Also the lovely ladies in the lodge were fabulous too.
