Mainly writing this review because of how thoughtful this hotel is for guests with dogs. We were given a room with an entirely enclosed courtyard accessible directly from the room (so much less stressful for someone with a young dog!), and for dinner they put us in a booth so that my pup didn't have as many people distracting her (the booth was also just a lovely place to sit with many homages to Bram Stoker). I've stayed at the hotel half a dozen times now and the staff are always welcoming and the food great. The location is also perfect for visiting this stretch of coast- a five minute walk from a gorgeous beach and a 20 minute walk to Dracula's Castle

The Kilmarnock Arms Hotel is a lovely place to stop after the beach or a hike up to New Slains Castle. Excellent food, incredibly dog friendly, and fast service - we will definitely be back!
