What visitors say
We only stayed one night after I mistakenly booked the following night, they were kind enough to find us space. This is a stunning spot to stay, the owners are super friendly the facilities are basic but very clean and the showers are lovely and hot. The washing up facility is a lovely space, the view is beautiful and you can walk to the beach from there ( a bit of a trek but worth it)

A wonderful countryside escape with warm hosts We recently stayed at The Barn at Easington and absolutely loved it. The location is stunning—peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their flexibility was greatly appreciated when we had to rearrange our stay due to a couple of unexpected family emergencies. They handled everything with kindness and understanding. The weather was on our side, which made our time there even more enjoyable. One highlight was cycling into Seaham for dinner at Samrat (highly recommended if you enjoy a good curry). The route was quite the adventure—featuring gates, steps, a viaduct, and eventually an easy cycle path. Around 3 miles in total, and well worth the journey! A truly memorable stay—we'd return in a heartbeat.

Second visit here for a long weekend. This time we stayed in the new Curlew cabin which is absolutely fantastic. The site is in a lovely remote location while being within easy access of the local shops if needed. The lane to the site, off the road, is a little bumpy but it's worth it once you get there! A very warm welcome and helpful owners. Will be back again next year I'm sure!

Cannot recommend this place enough!!! The site was so clean and well maintained and the owners are so lovely. Showers and toilets were absolutely spotless and a really good size. The first thing you do when you arrive is show you around and make sure you have everything you need, and they even offer you a little fire pit for cooking/roasting your marshmallows, which was so lovely! There's also an amazing walk to the beach and they will happily give you the directions to get there. Only downside to this place was the fact that I'd only booked one nights stay! But I will most definitely be coming back!
