The White Wheat Caravan Site

What a superb campsite. Me and my family stayed here and it was a perfect, quiet and safe site for us all. Children were playing on a swing on the site and running around happily. No excessive noise and a great bunch of fellow campers. The site has 3 showers and 4 toilets which seemed enough for everyone. Electricity is on a meter that you pay for a prepay card on arrival, and at the end of your stay, if there is credit left, you can transfer it back to your card for your next stay. Showers are also token based at 50p per 5 minutes. The site is sun by Alison and Mike, both of who were very pleasant and often did the rounds talking to the campers and checking if everything was alright. This is a little gem not too far from Porthcawl, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle and the noisy nightlife. This is my type of campsite and I will be back again!

What a lovely gem of a campsite! We have stayed here quite a few times over the last few years and we are so glad we found it. We stay in our touring caravan with electric hook up, sometimes putting up an awning. The pitches are level, some are hard standing and they all have lots of space for an awning on the lovely green grass. The electric is easily topped up with top-up cards purchased from the owners Mike and Alyson. The location is great. Just a short stroll into Porthcawl with its lovely beaches and great little town. The site itself is simply perfect for getting away from it all and relaxing, surrounded by nature. It’s a peaceful, family friendly site in an ideal location to explore more of Wales. Ideal for long or short stay. There are water points, wastewater point and chemical disposal point along with an outdoor and indoor pot washing area. Alyson and Mike work extremely hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. From meeting you on arrival and explaining everything about the electric and showing you around the facilities, to the daily cleaning of the facilities which are always clean and stocked with toilet paper, air fresheners etc and although we haven’t used the showers, as we use our own, they look perfectly clean and fit for use. Great caravan site lovely and clean, shower and ele are pay as you go 50p for 5 min shower. Dog friendly, & must be kept on a lead at all times. Great owners very attractive. Not far to walk to nearest pubs.

What a little gem of a campsite this is. The owners are so helpful and full of recommendations and local information. The site is spotlessly clean. The toilets / showers were too and 50p for a lovely hot shower after a day at trecco bay was perfect. Sitting outside our campervan watching loads of wild rabbits playing in the next field was just lovely. The site down zig zag lane is far enought away not to be bothered by the traffic and just a short walk to the local shop snd a manageable walk to the beach too. Will we use them again ? Oh absolutely we had a lovely long weekend there and will be back soon 10/10 😍
