Lakeside Lodge

Lakeside Lodge is a detached two-storey building standing on 2 acres beside its own lake, a few miles from Rhayader. The contemporary design brings together open-plan living on the ground floor with four bedrooms split across both levels. Each bedroom has an ensuite, and two of the upstairs rooms have freestanding baths; the living spaces include a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for full self-catering, and direct access to the decked terrace where a private hot tub overlooks the water. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided.

The grounds offer plenty of space to spread out, with decking, garden furniture and a barbecue. There is parking for three cars and an unfenced lake 10 yards from the building, which matters if you are visiting with young children. The location works well for exploring the surrounding valleys and hills—the Elan Valley and Gilfach Nature Reserve are nearby, with good walking and cycling routes through forested areas and past waterfalls. Rhayader town is close enough for supplies and restaurants. This is a no-smoking property.
